Hi family!
Glad everyone is doing well. its Hard to believe the school year is coming to a close again. Crazy!
Firstly, I will email you tomorrow
(with permission) to tell you what time we will be skyping home at, and
I will make sure it is not 1 MST. Due to a serious of unfortunate
events (which I will explain later) we weren't able to arrange on Sunday who we were going to Skype with.
Secondly, The reason the Atonement is the title for
my email is because I have seen the atonement working all around me this
week in my life and the life of our investigators. It is a very real
power of hope and healing. The video link below is an amazing video
about Christ! It was a big deal around Easter I hear, but I forgot to
send the link, so here it is. It's amazing!
Everyone, no matter what walk of life they are in has a need for the atonement in their life.
DJ is doing really good. We've met with him
everyday this week and we have really seen his faith and
understanding grow. He still has a lot to learn and comprehend about the
gospel, but what he does know is good. The Spirit is always there when
we teach him, and I know he knows that the gospel is a good thing in his
life. He called us on Tuesday
night after we met with him and said he'd found his church. We look
forward to seeing him progress even more. He enjoyed church this Sunday again, and sat with a member family he's getting to know.
S5 came to church again and she is praying to
Heavenly Father and is reading the Book of Mormon. Hooray! She's ready
to set her life in order, which is pretty amazing.
T6 is doing well. We're still trying to sort out some of what he
believes in, but he feels the Spirit and had a dream that he needed
to be baptized, so that's pretty cool! He also wrote a 3 page testimony
of what he believed for us- that was pretty cool too. Its nice to see
investigators that are committed and are thinking about the things they
are learning.
The end of the week was pretty crazy because Sister
Curtis was in the hospital for 36 hours while they were trying to figure
out what was wrong her. She's out and good to go now though, so that
was a blessing! I'm grateful for the chance to be serving as a
missionary though!
No pictures this week, but I promise I'll send some next week!
Love you family! Sorry this email is so short... only had an hour to email because of bank holiday and the hospital.
Talk to you on Sunday,
Sister Roscher
