Life Across the Pond: I Can't Believe it!

I cannot believe that I got to Skype you and see your wonderful smiling faces less than 24 hours ago! Its just so crazy. It was so good to talk to you though. Sorry if I was a little awkward... I'm just an awkward missionary now after all :P In all honesty though, I am so grateful to have such a wonderful family backing me up! You've all been nothing but wonderful.

This week went by so fast, I honestly don't know what happened to time. Next week is transfers already because it is a 5 week transfer. There is still so much to be done!

Some funny stories from this week:

-Our investigator, DJ prayed for the first time this week. He prayed for our safety on the bikes, and 20 minutes later Sister Curtis got hit by a car... ironic? :)

- Today, we got to go to Birdland (some very kind members took us) and it was so fun! We got to see/feed all sorts of different birds. They were mostly parrots, macaws and amazons from all over the world. It was good fun, and it was nice to get out of the city and do something a little different! I had two birds fight on my head... I almost curled up on the floor, but luckily the member we were with saved the day and took one of the birds away!

- The other change this week? Me eating a low fat diet.... that's a funny story in and of itself. My companion is on a low fat diet now after last week's hospital stay so I'm doing it with her. I'm not NEARLY as diligent as she is though (mostly because I don't have to be), but its been hard!!

The work is going well. DJ, T6, S5 and R4 are doing well. They are slowly and surely understanding the message of the restoration. The big thing we are working on with them now is the commandments!

This week will be a good one, we are going to work really really hard and get some new really solid investigators and help the people we are already teaching! I LOVE being a missionary. Its the best!
