When you fall off your bike, get back up!

This week. What do I say about this week?? Its been a good one! Full of miracles and funny stories. Also, before I forget, transfers are this Wednesday, so fair warning I could be in another area this time next week. I doubt it, but you never know!
Funny Story Number 1: I fell off my bike this week. Literally... We were going over a bridge, and I lost my balance. Next minute- KABOOM. Me and the ground were friends. On the bright side, Sister Appleby and I laughed about it for a good while and I only have 2 good bruises :)
This week I learned a lot about patience. Wednesday morning, all of our appointments for the day fell through and I was pretty sad, because it meant a full day of finding, which was all we'd done the day before. So, we went out finding for the rest of the day (except for 1 other scheduled 1st lesson in the evening) and talked to people trying to get potentials and returns. We felt about 1.5 hours into it we needed to knock a street, and halfway through the street we found AY, a young, married mother, who let us in. We taught her about the restoration and she listened carefully. She liked the idea of the Book of Mormon and committed to read it and pray about it. YAY!!!
During that time we also stopped by to visit a potential investigator we accidentally tracted into the previous day. When he answered the door he wanted nothing to do with us and was ready to turn us away. After a 10 minute conversation resolving his concerns he committed to 2 lessons with us. That in and of itself was a miracle! We also got several other potentials from that area. At the close of the day, as I was reflecting, I realized how impatient I had been earlier that day. I was sitting there upset because Heavenly Father wasn't doing everything I wanted him to do. How dumb. Even with my ridiculousness Heavenly Father blessed us with miracles throughout the day. How ungrateful and impatient am I? I've since reevaluated and am striving to be much more grateful and patient :) Heavenly Father knows whats best and He is looking after us, even when we don't think he is.
We started teaching this really cool man AB this week too. He is from Nigeria and is pretty cool. He's committed to read the Book of Mormon and come to know that its true.  I'm excited about him, and AY, who we found earlier in the week. They both have a lot of potential!
This week, we got to travel out of the country for a doctors appointment.... to WALES! hahaha We went to Cardiff to see a doctor there. The sad news? I have a damaged ligament in my foot and Sister Appleby has a sinus infection. The good news? I saw my first castle and got to see Welsh written out (it's a weird language!) But, don't worry. I'm doing good :)
Life is good. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! I can't even really imagine regular life haha
I feel so privileged and blessed to be a part of this great work that it happening right now :) There are wonderful people everywhere that are doing amazing things in order to help build the kingdom and to follow Christ.

During testimony meeting a member bore his testimony and he said this" I have learned God is serious about stretching our souls to become more like Him"- Powerful right? I am grateful for the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. We've made more of an effort this week to use the Book of Mormon more in finding and teaching, and it really is incredible! It is the word of God. The more I study it and learn about it, the more I realize just how much Heavenly Father loves, just how important it is to learn of the Savior and to follow Him and how beautiful the gospel is.
Much Love!

Sister Roscher
