Smile

This week has gone by SO fast! I can hardly believe that we're already in the last week of March...  I don't know how that happened! It is hard to believe how fast time flies by.
We were able to travel to Gloucester on Wednesday for Zone meeting and again today for Zone P-day. I was impressed by a recent convert the Elders from the Forest of Dean (Harry Potter Anyone??) brought with them. She joined the church 3 weeks ago and was so amazing. She truly was led to the gospel, and the missionaries were led to her. Her advice for us? DON'T GIVE UP and do anything and everything we can to have the Spirit more abundantly with us throughout the day. Pretty sound advice from someone who's been a member for 3 weeks!
I have been trying to do this for a little while, and let me say. It takes a concentrated effort, and concentrated prayers to ensure that I have the spirit with me abundantly at all times. When I am doing everything I can though, it makes SUCH a big difference! Everything is so much more rewarding and fulfilling. It is easier to make the right decision in the hard moments.

This week has been an interesting one. We've taught a few new people this week, but we're having a hard time hanging on to them (even though we're doing everything Preach My Gospel says to do...) We were doing everything we possibly could to help Ab and he fell off the face of planet. He just completely stopped all contact with no notice and we haven't been able to get a hold of him or see him to resolve concerns (We're assuming he has concerns if he just stopped all contact)  That was pretty heart wrenching! There have been moments when I have wondered what on earth is going on. I've wondered if the street contacting and tracting days are EVER going to end haha

It is such a blessing to go street contacting and tracting though, because we meet some seriously amazing people while we're at it! There are amazing people doing amazing things out there, contributing their piece of good to the world. And although sometimes people are nasty, there are also so many people that are SO nice. The world truly is an amazing place!
I was touched by a family that we are (were working with this week). They have got A LOT of issues going on. 4 kids, 4 different dads, alcohol...you name it, this family has had problems with it. We met the Mom on the street on Friday an she was crying because her boyfriend had left her... her kids have been taken away by CPS. Its pretty intense stuff. Multiple times we told her the only way for her to be truly happy and pull out of it is through Jesus Christ and his atonement, and that the only way we gain access to this is through baptism. She said that we were nice, but that she just didn't believe God even cared or that Jesus Christ would understand what she was going through.
It really saddened me after we said good-bye to her, because I know what her life holds in store for her if she keeps on living the way she is. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is there to help us, we just have to take those steps!!! I also learned from this experience the safety and protection that comes from keeping the commandments. They truly are there to help us, not to hinder us!
The Elders had a baptism this Saturday, and it was beautiful. His name is Pt from Poland. He is such a cool guy. He was positively glowing the WHOLE time. It made me so grateful for missionary work, to bring these people to the truth so they can have the blessings which we experience!

I got to give a talk in sacrament meeting on Sunday and it was a wonderful experience to think about why I chose to come on a mission, and some of the reasons I needed to come on a mission. I have been so blessed as a missionary.
I am so grateful for this Gospel and the chance I have to share it with others!!!!!
Have a wonderful week everyone!
