Family!
This week has had quite a few firsts for me (even
after being out for a whole year!) One of them was teaching 3 Iranian
women who have been in the country for less than a month English from
the Book of Mormon. It made me realize how little I know about how
English works. And the Book of Mormon is old English,m so we'll have to
switch to using something else to read out of. Any tips you have on
teaching English would be much appreciated! The women are so so nice though, and they're Christian,
which is pretty cool. Another first, we've been teaching quite a few
Muslim people, and it's actually been really strengthening my faith! I
am so so so grateful for our knowledge that there is a prophet on the
earth today and that we receive revelation from him. I am also
ESPECIALLY grateful for my knowledge that Jesus is the Christ, that he overcame death and sin for US, and that he gave his life
up on the cross, voluntarily so that we could follow his example and be
resurrected! I have a great respect for the Muslim religion, but I am
truly grateful to know Jesus Christ is my Savior and that I am a child
of God! These are very important doctrines to know and understand!
P3 is doing really well! He seriously makes my
day. He is reading the Book of Mormon and is doing amazing. Our main
struggle with him right now is helping him commit to baptism. He is
having a hard time seeing the need to be baptized again, because his previous baptism meant A LOT to him. Keep him in your prayers
please!
All in all, things are going really good. I LOVE
learning more about the gospel and applying it more into my life. I love
these people here. They are honestly AMAZING!
Sorry this is short, I ran out of time!!
Love you all!
